Honestly I don’t do to many reviews However, Goong has become mine and my wife’s new favorite place to eat the sushi comes out perfect every time. Their potstickers are the best I’ve ever tasted and don’t get me started on their baked mussels they are truly amazing. Not to mention the owners and staff are incredibly nice and happy you gotta try this pace
The minute I walked in, I knew this restaurant was something special. The smile of the head waitress's face beamed, the light piano music and cute, charming vibes made me so happy. I don't know how to explain it, but I felt like I forgot all my worries and was treated like a precious person. I couldn't help but tear up at how nice the experience was—thank you Nan for making me feel at home. The food was incredible and the experience was one-of-a-kind. I'll never forget my experience at the cutely names Goong, and I'll certainly be coming back as soon as I'm back in Utah.
This place is phenomenal!!! Every time I have been the staff is so kind, the food is delicious, and we get our food quickly! Today I ordered the spicy pork and it came out sizzling it was so fresh! There is a ton of options for sushi, main dishes, drinks, and sides! I reccomend this place to everyone!
The food tasted fresh and had great flavor. There were a lot of options for various taste buds. My kids loved it! In addition to having wonderful food, the staff was welcoming, and so attentive! Sorry for the absence of photos. It looked so good we dug straight in and forgot to document the occasion. I guess we'll just have to go back again. 😉
The Korean dishes we tried (bi bim bop and spicy pork) were fantastic! The kimchi sides were amazing, I could have had huge bowls of those! The sushi we tried was delicious. Very distinct flavors between the different rolls. Very fast and very friendly service. This will be out new go-to as we travel north from Southern Utah.
Great place to get a Korean food fix. There's not a lot of authentic Korean food places out there in Utah county. This place is worth the drive if you're in central Utah. Excellent customer service, clean bathrooms and tables. The service was excellent. Very attentive and all questions were answered clearly. Great food. I'm glad I was able to order a good sized Bibimap that came with all of the yummy little banchan side dishes. Plenty of food, great prices. Highly recommend.
One of my favorite Korean restaurants in Utah County. The owner is very personable and kind. Great first impression. They have a varied menu, from bbq at the table to sushi to other Korean staples. The lunch specials are a great deal and very tasty. For $10, you have like 12 items to choose from. Today we ordered the bibimbop, chicken teriyaki bowl and the Springville roll. It has crabmeat, with charred salmon on top. Delicious. All for $30! The sushi rolls are fresh, with delicate soft sushi rice! They have a lot of sushi variety. If you need food to take home, their lunch grab box is a fantastic deal at $5.99. Come and try them. You will love it. Value, great food and a kind owner.
Small intimate setting with careful service. We ordered the meat set for 2 and oxtail and this was plenty for our party of 4. The oxtail was tender and the meats super fresh good cuts. Dipping sauce and steamed egg custard side were all well received. Owner generously replenished some of the Korean pickles whenever it was finished.
We were just passing through town, driving from southern Utah to SLC and started looking for something different to eat that we can't get at home. Husband spent time working in Seoul and loves Korean food, so when we saw this little place with its 4.9* rating with over 500 reviews we absolutely had to give it a try. WOW! The service was perfect, with attentive staff and food on our table surprisingly quickly. The starters exceeded our expectations immediately - dishes of kimchi, sprouts, cucumbers, potatoes, miso soup and house salad - each with unique flavor and texture - all delicious. I genuinely could have just had the starters as a meal and been totally content. But then the rest of our meal came and again... WOW! My spicy pork was still sizzling on the platter and maintained a perfect temperature through the whole meal. Generous portion and wonderful flavor. Hubby had the Bibimbap and was in heaven. We got a couple of rolls (Sakura, Scorpion), each roll big and delicious. We've already decided this will be a regularly planned stop on future trips between SLC and home! Can't wait to return!
I found this place at the Korean Food Festival at the U this past summer and have been dying to go back for their kimbap! My fiance and I split combo A and it was so much more food than we anticipated but it was all amazing! The egg soufflé was so soft, the banchan was excellent, and sushi rolls were great! The meat selection was great and we LOVED the dipping sauce for it. The lady at the front was so kind when we got there and brought everything out very fast. We weren’t waiting more than 10 minutes for food. Our server was very attentive and kind as well! So many smiles around this place, it was a joy to eat here! We were also given a free roll that was yummy but unfortunately too spicy and we were so full at the end! I will absolutely make the drive to come back!
